The Halle Institute for Economic Research, the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche en économie quantitative (CIREQ), the George Washington University – The Center for Economic Research (GW) and the Bank of Korea Economic Research Institute (BOKERI) are organizing the 24th IWH-CIREQ-GW-BOKERI Macroeconometric Workshop on December 4-5, 2023, which is taking place at the Halle Institute for Economic Research, Kleine Maerkerstrasse 8, D-06108, Halle (Saale).
The workshop provides a platform to discuss new developments in the field of empirical and applied macroeconomic modelling and aims at bringing together academic researchers and practitioners. We invite applied and theoretical papers dealing with time series and broad macroeconomic topics. Papers that explicitly cover the macroeconomic modelling, commodity prices and macroeconomic developments are particularly welcome. On each conference day, an invited speaker promotes the key topic in addition to contributed papers, discussants, and posters.
Keynote lectures are given by:
- Christiane Baumeister (University of Notre Dame)
- Gert Peersman (Ghent University)
We aim to organise the workshop as in-person event. The workshop fee for participants is EUR 135 (reduced fee for PhD students EUR 100). The fee covers conference materials, coffee breaks, the lunch break (Tuesday), and the conference dinner (Monday). Please note that all participants have to cover their accommodation and travel expenses themselves.

The submission deadline is September 30, 2023. Authors will be informed latest by October 16, 2023. Registration will be possible from October 1, 2023.
