Interdisciplinary CIREQ-Workshop in Psychology and Economics – in Memory of Tony Marley

This interdisciplinary workshop is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Anthony Alfred John Marley, who died June 14, 2021. Tony, who was a long-time member of the McGill Psychology Department and member of CIREQ, played a foundational role in the development of mathematical psychology. Not only did he originate some very influential mathematical models of decision-making, but he also tested his models empirically. His work has had far-reaching implications in fields ranging from psychology and economics to neuroscience and machine-learning. The workshop will celebrate Tony by gathering researchers from a variety of different fields whose work he influenced. The focus of the workshop is squarely interdisciplinary—with the hope of building collaborative connections among researchers working in fields touched by Tony and his work.
