First Annual Conference of the Department of Economics
The first edition of the Department of Economics’ Annual Conference will take place on Tuesday, October 28, at 13:30, in room B-3245, Pavillon Lionel-Groulx, University of Montréal.
We are pleased to welcome Stéfane Marion, Chief Economist and Strategist at the National Bank of Canada and alumnus of the Department, as our guest speaker. He will be joined by Alain-Philippe Fortin, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics. The conference will take the form of a roundtable discussion, followed by an audience Q&A session.
REGISTRATION
Registration is free but mandatory.
To encourage greater participation from our student community, the classes ECN1000A, ECN2450A, ECN3505A, ECN6983A, and ECN7050A scheduled for October 28 are cancelled. However, the ECN1000B class will take place as planned.
Submit Your Questions in Advance
To help us plan the Q&A session, we invite those who wish to ask a question to Mr. Marion to submit it in advance using the designated section of the registration form. Questions related to the conference theme or to Mr. Marion’s professional background are encouraged.
Special Invitation: Lunch at Chez Valère
In addition to the conference, we invite you to a lunch at Chez Valère, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet Ms. Rita Dionne-Marsolais, also an alumna of the Department. The event is made possible thanks to the fund established in her name.
